Crash-tests AVI-files from CompMechWorkshop Gallery at FEAInformation and LSTC Websites
FEA Information, Inc. (USA) - the world leading of FEA/CAE information space - presented CompMechLab's full scale model virtual Crash-tests results in AVI gallery (AVI-files 203 and 203a ). The full scale model of Chevrolet Geo Metro based on FHWA/NHTSA National Crash Analysis Center (USA). Crash-test FE modeling performed by CompMechLab with LS-DYNA software (the developer Livermore Software Technology Corporation, LSTC). AVI-files also presented in the CAR section at Crash-Analysis specialized web site.
LS-DYNA Impact simulation of crash safe composite lighting columns.
In the worldwide AVI-gallery FEAInformation, Inc. presented the results of the most science intensive software LS-DYNA commercial use. The software meet the requirements of world scientific and technical level - "high end application AVI's".
The Crash-tests made by CompMechLab under Global Outsourcing agreement proposed by Finnish industry with the goal to develop new type of unique energy absorbing multilayered composite lighting columns with discrete reinforcement (3-D FE model includes 215 materials and 1 000 000 degrees of freedom).
The unique energy absorbing composite column and LS-DYNA finite element computations were presented at JEC Composite Show "Composites for better living" on March 2006 in Paris and awarded as the best at Industry division.
AVI-files 203 and 203a are presented at AVI - gallery of Crash-Analysis FEAInformation, Inc. and LSTC presents LS-DYNA-computations and real Crash-test videos.
